No one has the guts to stand up

No one wants to stand in the leader's shoes.

No one wants to take responsibility

No one wants to make or take a decision.

No one is not afraid

Everyone is trembling with fear,

Everyone is looking for someone to make the decision.

Everyone wonders what will happen to them.

Everyone wants to be done with it

Everyone wants to go home

The leader picks up the pieces

The leader puts them back together again.

The leader is also scared.

The leader makes a decision

The leader also doesn't know the outcome.

No one stands with the leader

The outcome speaks for itself.

Everyone blames the leader.

The outcome is not what was expected.

The leader says:

"When you had the chance to make the decision, you didn't.

Now that a decision has been made, 

it's easy to put the blame on the leader.

Then you have someone to blame.

I made a decision when a decision had to be made.

I took responsibility when no one else would."

(Dutch version of in the elevator) Opeens vielen de lichten uit, alles werd donker, zelfs de kleine rode lichtjes vielen uit. De lift viel naar beneden. Ik greep snel naar wat houvast anders was ik misschien gevallen. Mijn telefoon gleed uit mijn hand en hij viel met een harde klap op de grond van de lift. Ik hoopte echt dat hij niet gebroken was, want ik denk niet dat ik op dat moment genoeg geld had om een nieuwe te kopen. Mijn handtas gleed ook van mijn schouder af en bleef aan mijn bovenarm hangen, maar ik trapte per ongeluk op de lange band, waardoor de haak los ging en- recht in mijn arm sneed. I thought it was hanging from a string that might break at any moment and I would fall to my death. A small white light came on, illuminating the elevator a little. I saw the door a little dully and ran to it. I started banging on it and called out for help:  'hello...is anyone here? Help! I'm stuck! Does anyone hear me?'  After calling for half an hour to two hours and having no response, I gave up. My voice had almost left me and my blouse was wet with sweat and tears. I don't like the dark. I slumped down quietly on the floor of the elevator sobbing with my arms and legs raised like a stiff flower sack.  There I sat twenty-two year old me alone in the dark.
